UNBELIEVABLE CHIEFLY NEVER HINGED MINT HOLDING. A carton with hundreds of auction cards, stock cards and pages with a breathtaking array of sets and stamps in mostly never hinged mint condition - also some lightly hinged - and a few used (with a handful of covers) but this lot surprises at every 'turn' as many of the oldest stamps are lovely never hinged mint. Where to begin? We see Commonwealth and world wide, items with certificates such as Bavaria stamp cat €400, New Guinea Australian Occupation cat £200, Niger Coast Protectorate cat £650, Italian Libia cat Somalia €1000, Somalia x3 sets cat €2000, €2800 & €2800 receptively, but these not necessarily the 'best' items in here. We see stronger showings (we doubt any one area represents 10% of this lot) of Spanish, French & Italian Colonies / PO's abroad, Africa incl Ethiopia & Liberia, Europe east & west incl interesting WWII period, South America, much so-called 'back of the book' such as military stamps, parcel posts, postage dues, local issues, and plenty from unusual places such Turkey Angora Govt issues, wartime Serbia, Indian Feudatory states and the rest. A rare opportunity to obtain an original collectors accumulation of such diversity and quality, undoubtedly some forgeries and faults must be included but chiefly very fine and a rare opportunity for a trader.
