Stamp Valuations
We undertake stamp valuations for anyone considering selling their stamps, seeking to insure their stamps or arranging probate.
If you are considering selling your stamps and other collectables, we will give you a commercial valuation FREE OF CHARGE and either make you a direct offer to purchase them, suggest auction valuations, or both.
Insurance stamp valuations
An insurance valuation is based on our estimation of the likely replacement costs of the collection in the open market.
Insurance stamp valuations are charged at 2.5% + VAT of the valuation or £250 + VAT, whichever is the higher. A letter is prepared which you can present to your insurance company. If we think the stamps are of little value, we'll stop the valuation and inform you, we won't raise a charge.
Probate stamp valuations
A probate valuation is based on our estimation of the likely hammer realisation in public auction before any commissions are deducted.
Probate stamp valuations are charged at 2.5% + VAT of the valuation or £250 + VAT, whichever is the higher. A letter is prepared for the executors. If we think the property is of little value, we'll stop the valuation and warn you, we won't raise a charge.
