Rarely encountered so well- filled with only a handful of pages without stamps, we note many classics such as GB 1840 1d blacks (4), 2d blues (2), Canada 1852-57 3d reds (2), 7½d yellow-greens (2), 10d blue imperfs (cat £8800+), Br Columbia 1868 10c lake perf 14 mint (£1500), Newfoundland 1857-64 6d scarlet - vermilion imperf (£4750), Cape Triangulars (16, plus a few forgeries), New South Wales 'Sydney Views' incl apparently unused, Mauritius 1848-59 2d blue intermediate print (£4000), 1859 2d pale blue apparently unused (£6000), plenty of keynote 20th Century stamps such as GB 1902 £1 green, Rhodesia 1910 £1 double head, etc, etc. Chiefly fresh and attractive, the usual faults, repairs / forgeries (approx 8000 stamps) Lot 212 [c]
